IURA comes from the name of our river S-IURA-NA. The blue paint on the label represents this river and the blue slate of Priorat. Iura is our statement to Priorat, an honest understanding of our landscape. A wine with character and aging potential, embracing elegance, body, and persistence.

Origin

Vineyard located on our estate in Gratallops, in the center of the Priorat region. These vines grow among slopes and terraces on the edge of the Siurana river. The vines that produce this wine are on average over 20 years old. The soil of these vines is known in the region as "Licorella," with little organic matter. For this reason, the vines have low production, around 400/800 grams per plant.

Tasting note

Intense garnet color, medium-high body with a pronounced tear.
Exceptional aromas of fresh black fruit such as blackberry, plum, and cherry, with notes of black pepper; aging in French oak barrels gives it exceptional roundness.
On the palate, mint notes are perceived, with a full body and a notably elegant finish.

Vinification

Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in the base must. Separate fermentation process for each variety in barrels and steel tanks, and gentle vertical pressing. Aging in barrels for 14 months.
Light filtering before bottling, and the final bottle is stored for 14 months before sale.
Wine with great aging potential.
